Gordon was born in Bransty, Whitehaven in 1928 and made his debut with the society in "The Gondoliers" in 1953. He has appeared in 30 shows. He is a member of the Whitehaven Theatre Group and the West Cumberland Choral Society. He has been Chairman and Secretary of the Society as well as Chairman of the Social Committee His favourite show is "Die Fledermaus" which the Society presented in 1976 and this is also his all time favourite show.
