Mike was born in 1963 in Workington. His first show with the Society was 'La Vie Parisienne' in 1989. He has been a member of Whitehaven Theatre Group and has appeared in many of their shows including 'Goldilocks', Seven Brides for Seven Brothers', and Calamity Jane'.

He moved to Leeds in 1991 and joined the Bradford Players and the Heaton Amateurs where he appeard in 'South Pacific', Brigadoon' and 'Carousel'. He later joined the Idle and Thackley Amateur Dramatic Society and appeared in pantomime with them occasionally taking the 'Dame' part! His re-joined the Whitehaven Society for 'Oliver' (Noah Claypole) and 'Cabaret' (Ernst Ludwig). His favourite shows of all time are 'Fiddler on theRoof' and Brigadoon'
